Gandia Blasco has recently presented its new collection Glaoui composed of two different lines of rugs: Tumbuctù and Alexandra, both designed by designer Sandra Figuerola. The carpets that are part of this collection have a long tradition and is original in Morocco. Their main feature is the combination of three different techniques: that of weaving, and embroidery dell'annodatura. This is an absolute novelty; up to now, in fact, these techniques were applied separately because only very different from one another. Also, are typical of artifacts produced by nomadic women from different regions of Morocco. TUMBUCTU 'is a rectangular rug made from 100% virgin wool and features a smooth surface and a texture contrast, with knotted detail on the most imaginative.
