Alleegasse is a collection of armchair and sofa designed by Josef Hoffmann, with structure made of black beech, then padded and upholstered in fabric, velvet or leather.

This upholstered armchair was designed in 1912 for Dr. Hugo Koller’s music room as part of the furnishings at his Vienna apartment in Alleegasse (now Argentinierstrasse), and now proposed again with its original design by the Wittmann brand. Alleegasse is a timeless piece that perfectly adapt to modern environments even nowadays.

Designed by Josef Hoffmann

Josef Hoffmann (1870 -1956) was one of Austria's leading architects and designers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He ranks among the founders of Vienna Secession and of the Wiener Werkstätte, the latter conceived in collaboration with Joseph Maria Olbrich. Hoffmann also designed beautiful furniture such as the N.811 dining chair and armchair for Wiener GTV Design: steam and bent beech wood seats that combine lightness and comfort.
