B&B Italia Almora Swivel Armchair Designed by Doshi Levien

Almora is the new swivel armchair by designers Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien for the brandB&B. Of mystical inspiration and comfort only, is winner of the Wallpaper Design Awards 2015.

Almora is composed of two bodies: one for the seat and one for the back, both with tapered and made of fiberglass painted white or anthracite leaning on a swivel base, five-spoke cast aluminum. A third element is the headrest, made of oak wood with curved padded the inside, which fits in the back apparendone yet slightly detached. The formal aspect of greatest interest lies in the balanced composition of the different elements, materials and coatings that provide fabric and leather. Almora is named after the Indian region which enjoys a breathtaking view of the Himalayas and aspires to be, according to the designers, "a refuge from the world, a place to contemplate and read."
