Alumina is a wall and ceiling lamp designed by Alessandro Piva for Barovier & Toso, Constructed on a satin-finish bronze serpentine and five elements quadrangular elements decorated with submerged bubbles all completely hand-crafted.
Alumina is an impressive size by 88x85 cm lamp with which it wants to revolutionize the concept of wall lamps often of limited size. Although the dimensions are important and the lamp has a lightweight, technical design, which was inspired by the intertwining tubes of old industrial plants. Alumina is available in wall and ceiling version, with perimeter elements in four finishes.

Designed by Alessandro Piva
Alessandro Piva was born in Valdagno in 1965. He graduated in Architecture in Venice before moving to Milan, where he started his own business as an architect and designer in 1999. During his career, he has focused his research on the lighting sector, in the use of innovative materials and new technologies, collaborating with several prestigious brands such as Nemo and Barovier & Toso. The designer works in the field of research and teaching by actively collaborating with the Politecnico di Milano.
