Giorgetti Arabella Poltrona Girevole Designed by Carlo Giorgetti e Massimo Scolari

Arabella is the swivel chair designed by Carlo Giorgetti and Massimo Scolari in 2010 for Giorgetti, available with right or left arm. The frame is in multi-layer poplar wood, the backrest has an internal frame made up of harmonic steel springs. The padding of the seat and the backrest is in flexible multi-density expanded polyurethane, covered with polyester fibre. The base is composed of a wood fibre panel covered with varnished turned metal. The upholstery, completely removable, can be in fabric or leather. A cushion in polyester fibre covered in fabric or leather completes the armchair.

Great sensuality and a strong appeal are the essence of this swivel armchair, whose exceptional style and quality represent femininity and comfort. Its design is elegant and refined but at the same time incredibly contemporary, thanks to the oblique line of its signature backrest. As Carlo Giorgetti explained, the line of this armchair is inspired by the corset, one of the most sensual and feminine types of undergarment. As a matter of fact, women were the leading thread in the creation of this beautiful item of design: “femininity consecrated by the soft and enveloping line of the armchair.” Which, thus, has the name of a woman.
