dk3 Baia Counter Stool Designed by Kensaku Oshiro

The Baia Counter Stool, designed by Kensaku Oshiro for the Danish brand dk3, is a natural extension of the Baia Chair, introduced in 2021. The project continues the designer’s exploration of formal balance and technical precision, blending Japanese references with Nordic clarity.

The steel frame, available in chrome or powder-coated finishes, is crafted through a complex process combining curved and flat elements. The compact spacing between the front and rear legs defines a symmetrical and open silhouette, completed by an integrated footrest.

The signature C-shaped backrest is offered in two versions: solid wood, steam-bent and hand-finished, or upholstered, hand-sewn and covered in fabric or leather. The padded seat, available in matching materials, ensures lasting comfort.

Every detail is part of a coherent composition, stripped of superfluous elements. The curvature of the backrest, reminiscent of a bay’s outline, softens the visual impact of the structure. Designed for contemporary interiors, the Baia Counter Stool fits seamlessly at a kitchen island or bar, combining clarity with ease.
