Karman Black Out Suspension Lamp Designed by Matteo Ugolini

The Black out by Karman, conceived by Matteo Ugolini, presents a studied encounter between present and past: an upper lamped element for contemporary light and a lower, candlelike glow that evokes intimate memory, housed within a single sculptural silhouette.

Filament fiberglass composes the visible structure, finished in white or transparent surfaces that reveal texture and translucency. The Black out is described with both an electric fitting and a secondary, decorative candlelike source; declared characteristics include an E27 socket and an IP20 rating, while the supplied bulbs are intended for ornament rather than primary illumination.

Functionally the Black out is suited to moments that alternate between utility and atmosphere: it can accompany a sudden blackout as an emblematic detail or provide a restrained accompaniment to a private dinner. Its measured proportions and dual lighting gesture allow it to integrate with living and dining spaces where a quiet, narrative presence is required.

Light source:

E27 - max 53W - energy class from E to A++ - IP20 - 220V

The bulbs provided are only for decorative and not of illumination.
