Bonaldo Blocco Sideboard Designed by Alain Gilles

The Block Sideboard sideboard by Bonaldo, designed by Alain Gilles and presented at the Salone del Mobile 2026, stems from a concept that relates volume and support, transforming the container into an architectural element. The design develops as a large horizontal block resting on two sculptural bases, evoking the image of an object displayed with balance and precision.

The composition is based on the contrast between the rigorous geometry of the main volume and the softer, fuller forms of the supports, which recall small pillars. This formal dialogue defines a solid but calibrated presence, capable of adapting to contemporary contexts with a strong visual identity.

The base is available in two heights, allowing the overall perception of the cabinet to be modified, making it more compact or more slender. The flap doors are designed to ensure a practical and functional opening, while maintaining the cleanliness of the surfaces.

Made of glossy lacquered wood in glossy brown and glossy gray finishes, the design sideboard block is distinguished by a defined material presence and an essential and consistent formal construction.
