BM0253 is a modular shelving designed by Børge Mogensen and revived by Carl Hansen & Søn. Available in three finishes for the wood and five colors for the doors.

Børge Mogensen designed this modular shelving in 1958 without ever being put into production; today Carl Hansen & Søn has decided to bring to light another of the wonderful elements designed by the Danish designer. Modular and with infinite composition capabilities, BM0253 makes its minimalist design its strong point, standing as an iconic element of the Danish Modern. This modular shelving is part of Mogensen's concept of "construction furniture", that is resistant furniture capable of re-adapting itself whenever the needs of users change with the passage of time.

Designed by Børge Mogensen

Danish designer Børge Mogensen is the author of a production entirely based on simple lines and clear shapes. After graduating from the Danish School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, he worked as an architect in many design studios. His flair has given rise to a completely new and world-acclaimed perspective on "modern Danish".
