The Boby storage trolley, designed by Joe Colombo for B-Line, is an icon of Italian design from the 1970s. Introduced in 1970, it combines functionality with aesthetic lightness, presenting a design language that is both immediately recognisable and approachable.

Boby stands out for its vertical modularity, allowing storage to be expanded or reorganised according to needs. The compact structure houses drawers and compartments designed for dynamic, everyday use, making the trolley versatile for domestic interiors, professional studios, and creative spaces. Constructed in injection-moulded ABS, it offers durability, lightness, and ease of maintenance, while the polypropylene castors ensure smooth movement and stability.

Beyond its practical use, Boby is a design object with strong conceptual value, harmonising with contemporary interiors from living spaces to professional studios. Awarded the First Prize at SMAU in 1971, it is part of the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Triennale di Milano, confirming its iconic status in international design.
