Bookworm combines flexibility and superior durability allowing for a drop of 10 kg for each support. Ron Arad is an Israeli designer and architect. Born in Tel Aviv in 1951, he studies at Jerusalem Academy of Art and later at the Architectural Association of London. In 1981 he founds with Dennis Groves and Caroline Thorman the One Off production studio and in 1989 founds the Ron Arad Associates architecture and design studio. His design is the result of continuous experimentation and a combination of materials as steel, aluminum, and polyamide. The attention in shape is the heart of his artistic philosophy, evident in all his works: from bookcases to chairs, from armchairs and sofas to vases and all other pieces of furniture. The designer collaborates with Kartell, Moroso, Magis, Driade, Vitra, Alessi, Cappellini, Cassina and other international famous brands and his works have arrived in the most important worldwide museums and galleries.
