It all traces back to Gaetano Broggi, who came from a family of skilled metalworkers and opened his first workshop in Via dei Mercanti d'Oro in Milan in 1818. His collections of cutlery and precious objects reached the royal court of Turin, where in 1841 the Duke of Savoy entrusted him with the gilding of the ornaments for his own wedding. From courts to luxury hotels, today Broggi is the ambassador of Italian know-how.
