From ships to showrooms, to the great MoMA. Emeco (Electric Machine and Equipment Company) was born as a local steel company, and soon it turns into a great reality with its design chairs and stools. From the 1006 Navy Chair, the first aluminum chair commissioned for the Navy, the SU seat by Nendo to the famous Philippe Starck's Broom chair, modern and with a pure and understated style up to the newest collections made of eco-sustainable materials. Emeco is progress, talent and innovation.
Each product is "handmade" and produced in Hanover, Pennsylvania, according to the processes of forming, welding, grinding, heat treatment, finishing, anodizing. These are just some of the 77 steps required to build an Emeco aluminum chair. Create something that can last over time, with already existing materials. This is the corporate philosophy, which has always reused, recycled, re-imagined and respected the environment.
