Founded in 1814 in Bavaria by Carolus Magnus Hutschenreuther, the company is among the first private porcelain manufacturers in the region. With the development of its Selb headquarters, the brand contributed to the growth of the local industry, establishing a distinctive style that has endured over time. Since 1919, the lion has been its emblem; in 2000 the company joined the Rosenthal Group, further strengthening its international prestige.
