"The name Lalique evokes the brilliance of jewellery, the wonder of transparency, and the brilliance of crystal."
Lalique's origins trace back to René-Jules Lalique, an ambitious man whose genius led to the creation of a successful company. Founded at the end of the 19th century as a business focused on the production of jewelry, Lalique used enamel and glass alongside gold, opals, diamonds, pearls or amethysts. The first glass creations were produced around 1890, revealing the charm of this timeless material which René Lalique loved to define as "wonderful".
