SediaMedea celebrates one of the most iconic chairs of the post-war period. Starting from the model designed by Vittorio Nobili in the 1950s, the catalog has evolved into a rich collection of chair variations featuring new finishes, colors, and materials. The anatomical comfort, flawless curvature, and interplay of solids and voids from the original design remain unchanged, while Dimorestudio’s artistic direction gives the project a renewed, contemporary visual identity.
Born in the post-war years, SediaMedea took shape thanks to the vision of Vittorio Nobili and the craftsmanship of Fratelli Tagliabue. The curved wooden shell, harmonious proportions, and seamless design earned the chair an “Honourable Mention” at the 1956 Compasso d’Oro for its groundbreaking aesthetics. Today, the original molds return to production. Dimorestudio reinterprets the icon through a new visual language, a fresh color palette, and previously unseen materials.
