A strong sculptural component characterizes the Scandinavian design of the Danish brand New Works since the beginnings in 2015. Under the creative direction of Knut Benedik Humlevik, the company has grown up quickly, enriching the collection and achieving an international success without forgetting its core values: respect for the natural qualities of materials, search of a spontaneous design and fusion of different artisanal techniques. The result is a collection of peculiar objects: furniture, lamps and accessories that stand out for their shape, sensuality and a brave experimentation, expressing through evocative geometries like in the first collection with the Untitled chair and the Kizu table Lamp. In 2016, they added a sense of movement and drama to pieces such as the Rise and Shine Mirror. In 2017, New Works completes the collection, by launching the Core table lamp and the Covent chair, nominated for Design awards 2017 in the categories: lamp of the year and furniture of the year, respectively. The brand collaborates with designers who share the attention for details and the desire to experiment such as Malene Birger, David Taylor, Arde, David Derksen, Anderssen & Voll Maija Puoskari, Hallgeir Homstvedt and many others. New works is Mohd’s partner.
