In 1967, young craftsman Kari Virtanen founded Nikari after years of training with Finnish master cabinetmakers. His small workshop in Seinäjoki soon became a point of reference for designers like Alvar Aalto and Kaj Franck. In 1993, the brand moved to Fiskars, a village surrounded by lush forests. Here, amid authentic materials and sustainable techniques, Nikari transforms wood into material poetry—creating pieces that continue to inspire and surprise today.
