Poiat is a brand born from the meeting of Finnish design culture and Italian aesthetic sensibility. Its name captures this dual identity: a small village in the Italian Alps and a Finnish word meaning “boys.” The collection is a study in pure forms and balanced proportions, spanning chairs, sofas, armchairs, tables, storage pieces, and accessories. From the iconic Bastone sideboards to the latest additions, every piece reflects a refined, essential aesthetic and a contemporary spirit.
Founded by Timo Mikkonen and Antti Rouhunkoski, Poiat was created from a shared desire to design long-lasting furniture with meticulous attention to detail. Each piece is conceived to exist harmoniously within its own series and in dialogue with other collections. The studio and showroom are based in Helsinki’s Ullanlinna district, while the brand’s most expressive and experimental side takes shape in Fiskars—a village steeped in craftsmanship and nature—thanks in part to designer Antrei Hartikainen.
