Bonaldo Brik Modular Sofa - Composition 6 Designed by Martina e Massimo Castagna

Brik is the new collection of modular sofas designed by Martina and Massimo Castagna for Bonaldo, previewed at Salone del Mobile 2025. The name recalls the brick, an essential element of architecture, here reinterpreted as a symbol of flexibility and free design. In fact, at the basis of the project is the idea of a modular design capable of adapting naturally to different spaces and needs.

The system is divided into a central element, corner element, pouf and armchair, all sharing a soft, welcoming and informal aesthetic. The compositional language is inspired by the 1980s, when sofas were freely combined according to a more fluid and spontaneous taste. This approach returns today in Brik, breaking with the rigid patterns of recent years and paving the way for dynamic and customizable configurations.

The collection lends itself to a plurality of interpretations: from compact and intimate compositions ideal for residential environments, to extensively articulated solutions for large spaces, where each module can become a single seat, even single-sided or double-sided, favoring an unprecedented idea of conviviality and interaction.

With Brik, Bonaldo explores a new concept of comfort, where modularity combines with softness of form to create welcoming, fluid and contemporary environments, where each element dialogues with the space in a natural and sophisticated way.
