B&B Italia Camaleonda Sofa Composition x Stella McCartney Designed by Mario Bellini

The Camaleonda modular sofa is a re-edition of the historic project by the great designer Mario Bellini, from 1970, for B&B Italia. Exceptionally in step with the times and with fashion, it dresses in a brand new fabric printed with Stella McCartney's S-wave monogram.

A great classic that never goes out of fashion. A unique, historical piece, which always maintains its unique soul, which affirms its revolutionary style even as the years pass. In fact, after more than 50 years and thanks to the close collaboration between CR&S of B&B Italia and Mario Bellini, Camaleonda returns forcefully, a sofa which, as the name suggests, changes and evolves into new forms without ever losing its true essence and charm . Camaleonda, made almost entirely with sustainable materials, is tangible proof of both brands' attention to the environment. The S-wave monogram is inspired by DNA strings, sound waves, the sacred geometries of nature and living in harmony with it. It is a symbol that represents Stella McCartney's ongoing commitment to circularity and material innovation as well as conscious leadership. The 90 x 90 cm seating modules, the backrests and armrests are confirmed as well as the important padding that forms the characteristic capitonné, obtained today also through the innovative system of tie rods, hooks and rings designed by Bellini in 1970. The project is a classic design, present in museums and engraved in the collective imagination of the most authentic design lovers. The covering is completely removable, with chromed brass rings and stainless steel snap hook, feet in natural beech. The great modularity of this sofa and its incredible versatility have made this sofa a one-of-a-kind piece. Available in three colors, it is made with OceanSafe naNea yarn, certified biodegradable Cradle to Cradle Certified® Gold. It does not contain harmful substances and does not disperse persistent microplastics into the environment.
