Can is an elegant sofa designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Hay brand. Simple and essential lines. Made with high quality materials.

The designer duo has created a modern and welcoming piece of furniture, to attract the curiosity of a young and contemporary clientele. An elegant and comfortable design, to propose a new idea of sofa: abandoned the pompous and " bulky " image leaves room for something practical and accessible. The structure, in chromed steel, is easily modular, composed by three basic elements – frame, cover and cushions. The coatings are available in different finishes, from warm to more subtle colors.

The two sides of the structure are covered in black cotton canvas or natural linen.

Formal perfection, clear lines and creative freedom - these is Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec's magic formula. Born respectively in 1971 and 1976, they both graduated in Art and founded their own studio at the end of the 90s. Unity makes strenght - their Cuisine Déstructurée caught Giulio Cappellini's eye, so they received the first industrial design commissions and went on to impose themselves on the international scene thanks to a collaboration with Vitra. Bouroullec brothers work for some of the most important international design brands, such as Ligne Roset, Flos, Magis and Mattiazzi and are able to join essential shapes with innovative materials and environmentally friendly manufacturing - this allowed them to win, among other prizes, the prestigious Wallpaper* Design Award 2016 in the category "Best Designers of the Year".
