The CH621 Swivel Chair reflects Hans J. Wegner’s ability to balance formal precision with ergonomic function. Designed in 1948, it was the first swivel chair introduced in the Carl Hansen & Søn collection. The design presents a clear industrial language, defined by a brushed stainless steel frame combined with seat, backrest, and armrests in FSC™-certified oak, upholstered in either fabric or leather.

Originally height-adjustable through a threaded spindle, the CH621 has been updated with a modern gas lift system operated via a discreet and intuitive lever. The mobility system has also been revised: the original four-wheel base is replaced by five rubber and steel castors, meeting today’s standards for stability and comfort.

Suitable for the home or studio, the chair retains the essence of the original drawing, enhanced with contemporary technical solutions. The oak details and the slender frame preserve a precise visual balance, where every element serves a clear purpose. A design that spans eras while remaining true to itself.
