Fornasetti Chiave/Serratura Vase

The Chiave/Serratura vase represents one of the most celebrated motifs in the Fornasetti universe, reinterpreted here in a version on a green background that amplifies its scenic character.

The shape originates from an archival design, reproposed and updated thanks to the craftsmanship of the Atelier, which keeps the tradition of hand-decoration unaltered. On each side of the vase are two different expressions of the same female face, taken from the iconography of Lina Cavalieri. On one side appears a lock that allows a glimpse of the gaze, on the other a key that alludes to an enigma to be deciphered. The dialogue between the two symbols becomes a visual tale, ironic and mysterious at the same time, capable of transforming the surface of the object into a scene to be observed and interpreted. With its balanced proportions and the chromatic intensity of green, it finds its place both as an ornamental container and as an autonomous element capable of characterizing an environment. The Key/Lock Vase combines Fornasetti's typical irreverent spirit with a design that transcends fashions, confirming the Atelier's ability to transform simple symbols into timeless visual stories.
