Deco is a vase characterized by a dynamic succession of rings that repeat, one after the other, like circles in water. The vase appears to be the result of the creative inspiration of the master glassmaker Napoleone Martinuzzi, artistic director of the Venini house from 1925 to 1931. Made of Murano glass, the workmanship of the Dèco vase is obtained from lattimo, an opaque white glass invented in Murano around the middle of the 15th century with the aim of imitating the first porcelains that were very fashionable in Europe, by "layering" the lattimo glass with a glass or more thin transparent and colored glasses, obtaining splendid objects with intense and bright colours.
