Alberto Biagetti
Alberto Biagetti was born in 1971 in Santarcangelo di Romagna, and today lives and works in Milan. His pieces are not easy to classify: his work is a continuous and constant innovation and exploration. Lamps, furniture and objects are imbued with a strong meaning that goes beyond aesthetics. Examples of this is the Edi, a collection of lamps made for Venini, which reinterprets the classic light bulb with a striking appeal.
The designer began his career in 1995, at Luca Scacchetti's Milan-based architecture firm. Together with Alessandro Guerriero, founder of the Alchimia studio, he opened the Radiosity studio and FUTURARIUM, a school focused on art, architecture and design projects. In 2000 he became Creative Director of the YOOX group and in 2003 he founded Atelier Biagetti, where he works in an interdisciplinary way in these areas paying particular attention to the relationship between the physical and virtual world.
