Alessandro Pedretti

Alessandro Pedretti is an Italian lighting, furniture and urban space designer. Since 2000 he has been working continuously for Artemide, conceiving indoor outdoor pieces and creating settings and lighting equipment dedicated to architecture and urban projects. Among the most famous creations designed for the brand, a prominent place is occupied by the lamps Ciclope, Cefiso and Ippolito.

Alessandro Pedretti was born in Milan in 1966, where he graduated in architecture. In 1992, he was awarded at the "International Competition Osram New Light" for the creation of an innovative energy-saving sustainable lighting appliance. From 1993 to 1997 he worked in Paris. As a partner of Studio Rota he designs architecture and interior design projects, exhibitions and public installations in Italy and abroad.
