Alessandro Zambelli
The creation of sensitive and light-spirited objects, able to combine several personalities in a unique identity, is the fundamental purpose of the italian designer Alessandro Zambelli. The portfolio of his creations ranges from pieces of furniture to lamps and to contemporary items with a distinctly italian design. His fundamental credit is to have found the right balance between new technologies and tradition, smartly reflected through his work. Among his most prestigious collaborations, he boasts the ones with Agape and Seletti.
Born in Mantova, where he lives and works, he specialized in Industrial Design and Technical Innovations at the Fondazione Cova. In 2000 he started a collaboration with Agape and in 2003 he founded the alessandrozambelli designstudio. He was awarded the Premio per l’Innovazione ADI for the collection of lamps Afillia for .exnovo, and in 2015 he won the ’Interior Innovation Award’ 2015. Today he is among the founders of PADIGLIONEITALIA, a collective of designers with the purpose of telling the story of contemporary italian design.
