Andrea Anastasio
The Italian designer Andrea Anastasio is known for his projects related to furniture, lighting and design objects. His concept centres on the manipulation of objects, consumer goods and domestic materials, to contaminate languages and meanings. The Filo lamp for Foscarini, one of his most exciting projects, summarizes his philosophy defined by a strong and unconventional furnishing charge with multiple identities.
Born in Rome in 1961, Andrea Anastasio studied philosophy. Later he embarked upon a professional career that led him to work on important projects to catalogue Islamic architecture in India, architectural studies, museums and research on the innovation of traditional techniques. Passionate about industrial design and the poetics of conceptual art, he conceives furniture, lamps and objects for important international brands.
