Andreas Engesvik
Born in Oslo, Andreas Engesvik is one of the most important Norwegian designers. His work has contributed and still contributes to the recognition of Scandinavian design into the international panorama. His pieces include timeless and ethereal furniture, lamps, objects and home decor. An example is the iconic Blom lamp, a must-have Flos lighting piece.
After studying art history at the University of Bergen and a master’s degree in design, in 2000 he co-founded the Norway Says design studio. Andreas Engesvik is strongly connected to his origins. For him, being a Norwegian designer is a source of pride, and his commitment led him to broaden the horizons of Scandinavian design, at a time when it was a local reality.
