A curious, experimental approach to furniture ensured Anna Von Schewen an international reputation. Designer and Architect, she was born in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1965, and she graduated from at the University of Art, Craft and Design in 1995. She explored the fields of architecture, furniture, product and exhibition design, with her concept focused on the combination of a pure Nordic flair and a deep research on materials, especially on textiles, aimed to produce useful, functional products.
Right after her graduation, Anna Von Schewen moved to Copenhagen to work for a design studio. Moving back to her hometown, she started her own studio and several collaborations with renowned international brands, such as the Italian Zanotta and De Padova. Her works are currently exhibited in the permanent collections of the most acclaimed museums of Northern Europe, such as the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art, and she was awarded many prizes, among which the Excellent Swedish Design Prize.
