Antoni Arola
The Spanish designer Antoni Arola leaves his mark on precious and brilliant minimalist lighting creations. His work focuses on a continuous research on beauty, inspired by ancestral cultures and by his way of conceiving light. This concept creates surprising lamps and lighting collections defined by unique versatility, such as the famous Palma, designed for Vibia: a blend of light and nature in combination with plants and sophisticated luminous compositions.
Antoni Arola was born in Tarragona in 1960 and now lives in Barcelona. He studied at EINA in Barcelona and in 1984 he began his career at Estudio Liévore y Pensi. In 1994 he joined AD Associate Designers and founded the Estudi Arola studio. Other projects include the Flamingo lamps for Vibia, the Peled lamps for Viabizzuno and many collections for Santa & Cole.
