Børge Mogensen
Danish designer Børge Mogensen is the author of a production entirely based on simple lines and clear shapes. After graduating from the Danish School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, he worked as an architect in many design studios. His flair has given rise to a completely new and world-acclaimed perspective on "modern Danish".
Every creation by Børge Mogensen is the outcome of an intense research based on functionality and practicality. The artist has always been fond of a design focused on industrial process, incorporating revisitations and innovations to a classical, balanced style. His engaging, versatile personality led him to attend a number of competitions, and he was awarded many prizes, in particular he was appointed Honorary Royal Designer for Industry at the Royal Society of Arts in London.
