Broberg & Ridderstråle
Born from the meeting of young designers and architects Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstråle, Broberg & Ridderstråle studio is located in Stockholm, Sweden. Their mission is to add emotional value to design through the exploration of symbols and meanings, often drawing inspiration from everyday life. This is evident in the Leaf lamp conceived for Muuto, the Monaco sofas and armchairs and Open Kitchen for Roshults, and the Kandisky and Turner lamps for Pholc.
The two designers and architects, both graduated in 2006 from Konstfack University of Art, Crafts and Design (Stockholm, Sweden), have been collaborating since their first year at university. They both believe that inspiration is the fundamental part of a project, as without it, the designer is often lost in forms that lack soul and meaning. From lighting to furniture, their creations are characterized by clear lines, a sign of minimal and sculptural design.
