Bruno Rainaldi
Born in 1952 in Milan, Bruno Rainaldi was an Italian designer, died prematurely in 2011. His career starts when he was very young, studying in the field and moving in the design world as an autodidact. He runs the first High-Tech Course in Porta Ticinese, Milan, beside Maddalena De Padova in the historical showroom in Corso Venezia. He also accompanies Enrico Baleri as a business partner in Baleri & Associates, defining communication strategies for firms and design boutiques. These experiences on the field will bring him to define himself ironically as "sidewalk designer" with a "chaotically rigorous" style. Half of the '80s he founded Studio Rari and starts to collaborate as an art director with the most important Italian design firms. Right about that time, he meets Ciatti family, with which he collaborated for a long period, founding together with Lapo Ciatti the firm Opinion Ciatti in 2006, where he became president, associate and art director until his death. Among his most famous creations, Ptolomeo bookshelf is one of the most successful, winning in 2004 the Compasso d'Oro.
