Bruno Rey

Born in 1935 in Brugg, in Switzerland, Bruno Rey was an important Swiss designer. He studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule design school in Zurich, where he met important figures such as Willy Guhl and in 1968 he opened his own design and architecture studio. The designer is famous for his Ray chair, which stands for its screw-free frame and rounged edges, put in production by the Hay brand and reissued in collaboration with the Dietiker furniture company. The designer died in 2019.
