CARA \ DAVIDE
CARA \ DAVIDE is a multidisciplinary design studio based in Milan, founded by Cara Judd and Davide Gramatica. Their practice moves between art, materiality, and place, exploring the tactile and poetic potential of materials through an experimental, sensory approach. Each project stems from a close dialogue with Italian and South African artisans, resulting in limited-edition works and collections that balance tradition and contemporaneity. Among their most notable pieces is Tratti, a series of lamps created for Tooy.
Both graduates in Product Design from IED Milan, Cara Judd and Davide Gramatica began their journey within craft workshops and industrial collaborations. In 2016, they founded CARA \ DAVIDE, a studio where matter, form, and culture meet in a continuous dialogue between heritage and experimentation. Their creations — exhibited in leading galleries and commissioned by numerous brands — express a deep respect for the handmade process and the human dimension of design.
