Carlotta Fortuna

Architect and Surface Designer Carlotta Fortuna explores the expressive potential of surfaces through color, materiality, and finishes. Her work moves fluidly between art and design, embracing a sensitive, contemporary approach to CMF—color, materials, and finish. She collaborates with leading furniture and textile companies, developing projects that balance aesthetics and experimentation. Among her most notable works are her rug collections for Amini and the Traveller’s Collection of bags and backpacks for Poltrona Frau.

Born in Vicenza in 1984, Carlotta Fortuna studied at the Politecnico di Milano, the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture in Lyon, U.W.E. University in Australia, and the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. After an experience at Studio Citterio & Partners, she dedicated herself to designing surfaces and home textiles. Since 2019, she has been teaching at Istituto Marangoni in Milan in the Master’s programs in Surface and Textile Design and Contemporary Interior Design, where she shares her perspective on the interplay between material and perception.
