British-Italian designer and visual artist Chiara Perano lives and works in East Sussex, exploring the links between nature, ritual and contemporary life through painting, illustration and design. Luminous, earthy colours, instinctive brushwork and a symbolic, semi-abstract language define her work, evoking feminine energies and ancestral rhythms. Her collaborations with various brands include Bitossi Home, for which she has designed several collections of accessories for the table and home.
Born in 1985 and a graduate of the University of the Arts London, Chiara Perano draws on her Mediterranean and British heritage to celebrate the connection between people and nature. Featured in leading magazines including Elle Decoration and Vogue, her work is distinguished by natural pigments and a deep ecological awareness. She has taken part in solo and group exhibitions, while her artistic practice continues to explore the imperfect, spiritual beauty of the natural world that surrounds us.
