Dieter Rams

Dieter Rams is a German industrial designer. His passion for architecture was born by observing the grandfather's craftsmanship. When he finished his studies, in 1955 he started working for Braun where he dedicated himself to renovate the company's interiors. In a short time, he was designated director of design and began to deal with product design. In 1960, designs the 606 Universal Shelving System, an extremely flexible, it adapts to all needs and space: a wall storage unit, a bookcase, a wardrobe, a room divider. Careful to the world around himself, he believes that the power of good design must respond to a careful, innovative, functional and aesthetic project.
