At the beginning of the 80’s, he founded in Milan the studio Sottsass Associati with Aldo Cibic, Matteo Thun, Marco Zanini and Marco Marabelli. Ettore Sottsass won three Compassi d'Oro (1959; 1970; 1989). Among his most famous projects are the typewriter Valentine for Olivetti, designed with Perry King, the Specchi di Dionisio mirror collection for Glas Italia, the Shiva vase made of pink ceramics for Barcelona Design.
