Francesco Forcellini

Young Italian designer Francesco Forcellini founded his own design studio in Milan, Italy, in 2017. His work always begins with analyzing the essence of objects, their archetype, meaning, and construction process. Consequently, each of his creations enhances the materiality of the object. Notable examples include the Sculpt sideboard designed for De Castelli and the Split mirror made for Tonelli. Among his various collaborations, his work with the renowned brand Cappellini stands out.

Francesco Forcellini was born in Milan and grew up in Florence. He later graduated in innovation design from the Polytechnic University of Milan. After gaining experience working in London and Holland for internationally celebrated studios and agencies, he decided to found his own studio. Focusing on materials, finishes, and new technologies, Forcellini pays special attention to the physical appearance of objects, aiming to reduce their complexity and enhance their surfaces.
