Frank Gehry

Thanks to his revolutionary spirit, Frank Gehry is considered one of the leading representatives of architectural deconstructivism. His architectural works are characterized by unusual, almost illogical geometric forms: think of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao; the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles; the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein. His flair also flows into designer masterpieces, such as the Vitra Wiggle side chair and Wiggle stool and the Belux Cloud and Mamacloud lamps.

His unconventional work shows the marriage between chaos and rationality.

"Architecture and any art can transform a person, even save someone." - Frank Gehry
Born in 1929, Frank Gehry is of Polish origin but was born in Toronto, Canada. He studied at the University of Southern California, then embarked on urban design studies at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. The raw materials and unusual geometric shapes of his works, at first glance lacking in harmony and in contrast with one another, conceal a deep reflection gained over the years working in close contact with the world of art, design and urban planning.
