Hee Welling
The Danish designer Hee Welling is globally renowned for his sober, elegant and minimalist design that imbues all of his creations. Celebrating Nordic design, Hee Welling has conceived brilliant projects, among which the famous About A Chair for Hay, an appealing contemporary icon. The latter is proposed in different models and range extensions, such as the famed About A Stool. Another brilliant piece is the sophisticated Rely chair for &Tradition, now also available in an eco-sustainable version.
Born in 1974, Hee Welling attended the University of Art and Design in Helsinki. Afterwards, he earned a master degree in furniture design from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. In 2003, he founded his studio in Copenhagen, where he deals with furniture, interior design, lighting and industrial design. He collaborated with important international brands such as HAY, &Tradition, Cane-Line, Fredericia, Erik Jørgensen and many more.
