Ilse Crawford is a designer born in London in 1962. Her mission is a simple one: to put human needs and desires at the centre of all of her works. After a history degree at Bedford College, she worked in an architect studio and as a journalist for the Architects Journal, before being chosen as editor-in-chief of Elle Decoration UK. Soon after, she moved on to designing interiors and in 2001 she founded in London her own design studio StudioIlse. Together with her team, she creates environments where humans feel comfortable; it means designing furniture and products that support and enhance human behavior and actions in everyday life.
