Kensaku Oshiro
The Japanese designer Kensaku Oshiro was born in 1977, and graduated from the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan at the end of the XXth century. After experiencing his talent in several studios, in 2004 Oshiro started working for Lissoni Associati until 2012, when he moved to London. Among his most successful creations, the Arabesque line and the Leplì collection designed in collaboration with the leading brand Poltrona Frau.
In 2015 Kensaku Oshiro established his own Milan-based studio, and two years later he created his own brand, Oshiro. The Japanese designer has adopted an experimental attitude, through his creations he investigates new shapes and essential functionalities. Oshiro participated in many exhibitions and he was awarded several important prizes, such as the Red Dot Award in 2008 or the EDIDA – Young Designer Talent by Japan Edition in 2016.
