Linde Freya Tangelder

Linde Freya Tangelder is one of the most appreciated and recognised Dutch designers in Europe, founder of the Destroyers/Builders studio. Her extraordinary creations find inspiration in the interaction with architectural elements, materials and construction techniques. Their sculptural character is the result of a perfect balance between contemporary and traditional elements. Emblematic are the Wax Stone Light lamps made for Cassina, perfectly expressing her artistic vision.

Linde Freya Tangelder, born in Doetinchem in 1987, founded her own studio in Antwerp in 2014 after her studies. Renowned for her distinctive approach, contrasting materials, textures, and expert manual intervention are combined, resulting in objects with a distinct tactile appearance. Tangelder's career has been marked by significant achievements, such as being named Designer of the Year at the Biennale Interieur in Belgium in 2019 and winning the Edida Young Design Talent of the Year award in 2023.
