Matteo Cibic

An ironic, surreal, and multisensory world: Matteo Cibic’s design language transforms objects into hybrid, evocative beings—almost as if they possessed a life of their own. Known for iconic creations like Vasonaso, Cibic blends art, design, and a personal sociological exploration of colors and objects. From his projects for Bosa and Scapin Collezioni to his collaborations with Scarlet Splendour, his zoomorphic and anthropomorphic ceramics redefine the everyday with irony and poetic flair.

Born in Parma in 1983, Matteo Cibic is a transmedia artist and designer whose projects merge craftsmanship, technology, and imagination. After founding matteocibic studio, he developed a unique and recognizable language, where objects and forms take on organic features and emotional traits. At the heart of his work lies pareidolia—the human tendency to perceive faces and identities in inanimate things. A poetic and perceptual mechanism that Cibic turns into a visual narrative, moving between nature, emotion, and new forms of life.
