Milanese architect and designer Paolo Golinelli approaches design with a cultured, measured gaze, capable of turning form into reflection. Among his most renowned works, the Sundance folding armchair for DePadova stands out for its balance of essentiality, comfort, and material exploration. Winner of the ADI Compasso d’Oro in 1998 in the Young Designer category, his creations reflect a structural, clear-sighted vision deeply rooted in context.
Born in Milan in 1964, he graduated in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano, where he later taught as a contract professor from 2004 to 2014. In 1992, he founded the studio Golinelli Sala Architetti Associati with Margherita Sala. Alongside collaborations with brands such as Bonacina 1889, Atelier DeVecchi, Vibram, and Outlook Design Italia, he also focuses on the redevelopment of architectural heritage, with a particular attention to historic buildings. His work was exhibited in Florence in 2015 and at Milan’s Triennale in 2018 as part of the show “999 Questions on Contemporary Living.”
