Roberto Barbieri
Roberto Barbieri (1942 - 2012) was an Italian architect and designer, an extremely cultured and brilliant personality. He also worked as graphic consultant and artistic director for several exhibitions and conceptualized the renowned Flute collection of tables and coffee tables, marked by thin, neat and clean lines, and the one with Zanotta, with the colourful Lia, Lea and Talia chairs and armchairs.
During his career, Roberto Barbieri collaborated with many companies and also worked as a professor.

Roberto Barbieri will always be thought of as a designer with a powerful identity, an artist who favoured neat, essential and minimalistic shapes.
After graduating from the Polytechnic of Milan in 1969, Roberto Barbieri started working in the field of design, graphic, and architecture, in collaboration with architect Marco De Carli. The designer took part in several exhibitions organized by the Faculty of Architecture in collaboration with the Triennale di Milano and Enti del Mobile, concerning furniture, living spaces and public housing.
